Private Classes: I am, also, currently teaching private work to folks of all levels here in Santa Fe, as well as to those coming from out of town for more intensive study periods.

Our Milongas are held on the 3rd Saturday of the month from 7:30-10:30 (with the exception of February and June which are canceled). 

 Our road was paved and we no longer can use the shoulders for parking, so we are limited to 25 spaces on my property and additional spaces on culverts in front of undeveloped property along Camino Largo. Look for the orange cones designating parking spots in our driveway and our orchard on the west side of the house. Overflow will need to park on the shoulder of the dump road near the top of Camino Largo. PLEASE carpool! For info on Djs, go to our Milonga page.

Given the intimate nature of our dance, Two Moon is requiring vaccination cards. Masking is optional.

 

 

For those that may not have heard, my beloved life partner, Masami Hirokawa, passed away on August 29, 2019. Send love to him wherever he is. Bob Bern and Emma Simmons are currently assisting me with my teaching at various times.

Class Descriptions
and Details

      
  Tango I & II
    
      Our Beginning Tango class on Saturdays, has moved to a "Tango I & II" class on Tuesdays, 6:15-7:30. No class on July 4th, July 25th and August 8th.

This is turning into a drop in class for the rest of the Summer, but, if you are new, do call or text before coming at 505-699-0106. $25/class.This is a fun, relaxed class focusing on all the fundamentals of close-embrace Argentine tango. In these classes you will learn the social form of tango danced in the traditional dance halls of Buenos Aires. This is a non-flash style based on a natural walk, focused on improvisation, mutual creativity, and connection with your partner. Anyone beginning tango, wanting to work with the fundamentals and milonga-friendly figures, or anyone wanting to become comfortable with close embrace tango and prepare for dancing in the Milongas (dance events) is welcome. Partners not necessary.  If you know of anyone interested in starting tango, forward this on to them! Tango III

     Continuous Thursdays, 7 - 8:30. This is a drop-in class!
This class is designed for those already comfortable with close embrace dancing. We will be focusing on intermediate/advanced level vocabulary with a concentration on musical participation and connection with our partners, creativity, relaxation, and internal energetics. This class is about enriching and enlivening your dance from the inside out. $25/1.5 hr class.  If you have not attended this class before, please call me to make sure that this is a good fit for you and the class. 505-699-0106.

Vals/Milonga Intensives

     TBA Sundays beginning in the new year, 1:30 - 4:30. These are one day Intensives on close-embrace Vals and Milonga (both Lisa & Traspie). Two classes from 2 - 5:30.  These Intensives are aimed to build skills and confidence with both Milonga Lisa (single timed) and Traspie (double timed). Liz and Bob Bern will be teaching these classes. $55/day.

Women Leaders Workshops:

        TBA - If you are interested, please contact me via text or call.
      These fun workshop days are designed for women wanting to learn to lead. We will be role-reversing and working on what feels best for both leaders and followers. Open to all levels, this class focuses on deep basics: connection, posture, stability, expression, and figures for a social dance floor. 2 - 1 1/4 classes with a tea break in between. $55/day. Follower's Technique:

We focus on building technical skills to increase balance, stability, and beauty, as well as exploring internal dynamics to maximize your dance. If you are wanting to work on follower's technique, please email me. Will will run a class as soon as we have a full group. Please text me if you are interested at (505)699-0106.

 

Private classes:

I also teach private classes. One-on-one work is a nice way to focus in depth on a particular issue or simply a way of accelerating your learning. Classes are scheduled at flexible times.
